The alli Experience

Before Glaxo Smith Kline launched their new weight loss program, alli, there was a need to
raise awareness as well as create a place where consumers could learn about all aspects of

the drug. A popup retail space was created in Union Square NYC to create a unique interactive
experience with an unfamiliar brand.

 

We developed a mood video that initiated the visitor and illustrated the clutter and noise within the weight loss category. I developed story boards and working comps, worked with an in-house editor and producer to create the video loop.

A large part of the educational information was delivered through multiple kiosks within the space. I worked with the Creative Director to shape the structure and user path. I created working comps for the entire experience and worked closely with developers to produce the flash content.

Large scale environmental projections heightened the experience and, in the image below, depicted appealing visuals of low-fat foods. I assisted on the food photography shoot and retouching the images.

 

 

On exiting the experience the visitors are presented with a simple touchsceen kiosk. They are asked a series of questions and based on their answers a customized printout is provided as an inspirational take-away. I worked with our team to develop the concept and user path. I then created the working comps and worked closely with our digital producers and flash developers in the implementation.
